provision of mechanical services for a transmitter and servo/bearing cooling upgrade on deep space station 43 dss43 at the canberra deep space communication complex cdscc. the existing cooling systems serving the existing transmitters on dss43 are inadequate for the planned new x and s-band transmitters on that antenna. these cooling systems will be removed when the transmitters are replaced, and the new cooling configuration will combine the new transmitter cooling system with a new servo/bearing cooling system. the new system, the subject of this rft, will utilise the latest technology adiabatic coolers, eliminating risk of legionella, simplifying plant maintenance, and ensuring adequate cooling capacity and capability for dss43 into the indefinite future.
provision of electrical services to upgrade the electrical distribution system on deep space station 43 dss43 at the canberra deep space communication complex cdscc. the existing electrical distribution systems serving the existing transmitters on dss43 are inadequate for the planned new x and s band transmitters on that antenna. they will be removed when the transmitters are replaced, and a new distribution configuration installed the main project is to install new high-powered x and s band transmitter systems on dss43, to replace the existing systems and increase x-band transmitter power. a key element of the project will remove the bulk of the existing power distribution system and replace it with a new system.
