dva exists to serve australia’s veterans and their families known as entitled persons through programs of care, compensation and commemoration. in carrying out this mission, dva seeks continuously to improve the range, accessibility, timeliness and coordination of the services it provides to entitled persons, or arranges on their behalf.

this request for tender rft is to establish either a single contract or several contracts for the following services:

scope includes various building maintenance works, hazmat remediation works as well as internal and external refurbishments and upgrades, repairs and painting works of various buildings at raaf richmond base.

maintenance upgrades at raaf townsville to address defects including remediation of paved vehicle remediation of paved vehicle compound drainage, selected road pavements, widening of an existing intersection, construction of culverts and remediation of selected carpark pavements.

the project focuses on general building works and resolving a select number non-compliance items identified in fire safety surveys fss conducted in 2015. the works vary for each building and can include services upgrades including hvac, lifts and fire protection works, external fabric remediation works, internal ramp remediation works, resurfacing basketball court and general maintenance works internal of buildings replacement of blinds, patch and paint and carpet replacement.

this project involves the modification of a redundant fuel station area, inclusive of the demolition of the brick structure portion beneath the covered fuel area cover to remain, relocation of existing light switches from the brick structure to the remaining structure and removal of three underground storage tanks. the existing tieman loading ramp is to be relocated to beneath the remaining structure in the fuel station area. within the oil storage yard, the project involves removal of an underground tank and the shed and awning structures. the existing underground tanks and associated fuels system particulars within the scope of this project shall be removed and the sites backfilled upon the completion of works. the fuel station shall be resurfaced with bitumen, whilst the oil storage yard shall be returned to a natural brown site with seeding the area.

this project involves the refurbishment and remediation of 14 accommodation buildings across latchford barracks, bonegilla vic. the works include carpet replacement, curtain replacement, installation of tamper-proof self-closers to doors, installation of padlock style locking to wardrobes, internal paint and external paint to buildings. in addition to the above, one building also requires replacement of shower doors to ablution in the building.
